Earthquake

In Room 5 .We were learning about earthquake and we had to post a tagul on the blog

Volcano Experiments

In room 5 We were making volcanoes for an experiment in 6 groups and did it all at once my group made Mt Taranaki . The experiment was that what will happen if we stir baking soda and vinegar, I predicted that it will just pop out of the volcano and will just go down and how this happens is that if they hit each other it will fizz up and, a scientific way of saying it is that it will start a chemical reaction that produces carbon dioxide and water. BUT it did and didn't happen 1 it did because the scientific way was right but what was wrong was that the nose was to high and just went up and a little bit went out but then it when straight down. If all volcanoes erupted at once it will almost destroy the North island but it wouldn't happen because Mt Taranaki is a active but quiescent.

The Olymipc

!Usain Bolt!

One day an Olympic night at 8:00pm Usain bolt was running a 10000 meter race ( Yes ,I know he only ran a 100 meter race). Kat goes ‘‘Go Usain Bolt, YAY!’’, a billion times and so he got so annoyed of Kat. Then when Usain Bolt was distracted by Kat. Flynn was placing big rocks on his lane near the very end.

Everyone saw what was happening in the stadium but not the runners 3 seconds later the race was about to start and the race starter said ‘3,2,1 BANG!’ Usain  bolt ran so fast he was almost like lighting. Kat keeped on saying ‘Go Usain Bolt.’ Until he was so far away that he couldn’t hear Kat. Everyone said ‘Go Usain Bolt!’ when he was near the end then he tripped up on the big rocks and covered the whole lanes. Everyone was laughing at Usain Bolt. HA HA HA HA HA

Then Kat and Flynn kind of felt sad that Usain Bolt felt and so we were thinking and thinking until the other racers was coming Kat and Flynn were scared and the funniest thing happened. Everyone keeped tripping over Usain Bolt and all the racers were unconscious. It was Usain Bolt's chance to run to the finish line.

Meanwhile a person doing archery shot way off the target and it went to a stadium near by.

Back at the track, Usain Bolt was coming first till something tripped him up. Then Usain bolt looked down ‘An arrow?’ he said then ran to the finish line and WON ‘YAY’ the crowd went so WILD that it woke the runners up but they did not finish (DNF) the race.

NICHOLAS WILLIS

Nick Willis went to the 2008 Olympic for the 1500 metre race and came 2nd in the world but is a the best middle-distance runner in NZ .

His height is 183 cm, the place he was in born in Lower Hutt. He was born in 1983 April the 25 and his age right now is 33. His Weight is 68 kg and his family members are Steve Wills and his girlfriend is Sierra Boucher.

In the Olympic games he got a Silver. His 1500 metre race time was 3 minutes, 29 seconds and 66 milliseconds. In the Commonwealth games he got 2 bronze and 1 GOLD!

The Tongue

In my learning this week, Me and Riley read a book about the tongue called Mmm, That's Tasty! and had to made a presentation that looks like this!

HAVE YOU EVER A REAL SHOPLIFTER IS. WE WERE LEARNING HOW TO MAKE PUNS. IT WHEN YOU PUT TWO COMPOUND WORDS TOGETHER AND THE TWO WORD MEANS A DIFFERENT WORD THAT MAKES IT FUNNY LIKE BUTTERFLY. ITS A BUTTER THAT FLYS AND ... WELL MAKES IT FUNNY.

Earthquake presentation

We learned about Earthquakes. I learnt that there are three types of Earthquakes. One of them were Convergent Boundary (which makes hills) and Divergent Boundary (When the earth splits up and water comes along) last of all Transform Fault (when the plates rub together causing an earthquake). A crack on the ground that traces a geological fault is what happens when there is an earthquake. I also found out that... -New Zealand is a high risk country for earthquakes and Because earthquakes can cause great of damage, -New Zealand get’s lots of strong earthquakes, -The Earthquakes can kill and injure a lot of people, -New Zealand can get earthquakes close to towns, cities and near your house I hope that there is never an earthquake in Auckland where I live.
